The Devoted Followers

It turns out sashing is a little bit boring to do at retreat (and also everywhere else), but I’m at a point where I need to be alternating between block construction and sashing, so there was bound to be a little bit of sashing during a three-day retreat.

The good news is that doing the sashing typically does not take a lot of concentration, so I was able to get in some good chatting with quilty friends.

I cut out the sashing pieces at the end of the first day of retreat, and stitched the sashing on the short second day of retreat and at my bowling league on the second night.

The most exciting thing I can think of to say about this sashing is that before I started this batch, I had 100 sashing strips left to cut and stitch, and now I’m down to double-digits. Oooooh!

While the stitching was not exciting, all progress is good progress.

The big excitement of this sashing segment occurred while I was writing about it, instead of while I was stitching it.

Someone recently brought it to my attention that my many (26) devoted followers were no longer getting an email notification when I published a new post.

It turns out this is because my website software was hopelessly out of date. I was so far behind the times that the software refused to notify anyone about my fabulous posts! Gasp!

So, I embarked on an adventure to update the website. There was drama. There were tears. But in the end, I’m at a good stopping place, where I’m on a new enough version of the software that subscriptions appear to be working again.

If all goes well, all 26 of you will receive an email when I click the Publish button tonight! Aaaaaah!

And if you’re not a devoted follower but would like to be one of the select few, just scroll down to the bottom of any page and enter your email address to subscribe.

    1. Yes, I’ve been having some troubles with my Facebook posts not showing up lately, so it was good timing to get these email notifications working again!

    1. I’m relieved you’re back in the loop too, Becca! It was worth finally taking the time to upgrade the site. 🙂
